SpencerHall led a multi-discipline Flashpoint innovation session to create a wide range of new promotional concepts. Coming out of the session, SpencerHall translated the lead ideas into consumer ready concepts which were optimized in follow up research conducted by SpencerHall. The first new promotion was launched in May 2012.
MASON, Ohio – LensCrafters, a division of Luxottica (MTA: LUX; NYSE: LUX), has launched the LC XChange promotion to encourage customers to donate used eyewear in exchange for up to $200 off a new pair of eyeglasses. “While all our retail stores collect used eyewear for OneSight, this is the first time in over 20 years we have developed a promotion to directly benefit the charity,” Bill Noble, senior vice president of LensCrafters Store Operations told VMail.
The national promotion, which started on May 4 and runs through June 17, provides a discount of $200 to those purchasing multifocal lenses and $150 off with the purchase of single vision lenses. Even customers who do not donate an old pair of glasses receive $100 off a new pair when they bring in their own prescription.
OneSight is a Luxottica Foundation dedicated to providing healthy vision, eyewear and sun protection to those in need worldwide. Since 1988, its family of global vision care charities has provided free vision care and eyewear to more than 8 million people and has granted millions of dollars toward optical research and education.
